[9c] Anyone can call and you can lose your children. For this woman, the refrigerator broke and the heat went out, the landlord was there when DCF arrived and said the problem would be corrected, but they took her children away because they said her son was in an "unhealthy environment." Her eighteen month old child was placed in 3 different foster homes, suffered hypothermia, caught chicken pox, bite marks, cigarette burns, and then struck by foster parent - at only 18 months old. There are hundreds of people this is happening to, and the children are suffering.
